Trenching & Utilities

Utility Trenching in Central Oregon

Water, sewer, electrical, gas, and irrigation — trenched accurately for every utility type.

Utilities are unforgiving — depth, bedding, and slope all have to be right. Wright Excavation trenches accurately for every utility type, so your lines pass inspection and get buried once.

What's Included

Our trenching and utility work covers:

  • Water-line trenching
  • Sewer and septic lines
  • Electrical and conduit runs
  • Natural-gas line trenching
  • Irrigation-line installation
  • Proper depth and slope to spec
  • Pipe bedding and backfill
  • Compaction and trench restoration

How We Work

We trench to the required depth and grade, bed the pipe correctly, and backfill and compact so the ground above doesn't settle later. Frost depth, slope, and bedding all get accounted for before the line goes in.

Trenching in Central Oregon ground

Between frost depth and the rock that runs through much of the region, utility trenching here isn't just renting a trencher. We dig to the depth the code and the climate require, work around basalt where it shows up, and restore the surface so the run disappears.

Trenching & Utilities — Common Questions

What utilities do you trench for?

Water, sewer, septic, electrical, natural gas, conduit, and irrigation lines — trenched to the correct depth, bedding, and slope for each type.

Do you bury lines to code depth?

Yes. We trench to the depth required by code and the local frost line, then bed, backfill, and compact properly so the line is buried once.

Do you backfill and restore the trench?

We backfill, compact, and restore the surface so the ground doesn't settle and the trench line disappears.
